A top priority for Karen is increasing citizen involvement with city council by promoting transparency and awareness of city council meetings and events. Being aware of city events, issues and problems facing citizens will increase engagement to create a strong city built on lasting community relations.

Karen is motivated to expand and maintain the green spaces in our city. From the Oshawa creek, to Lakeview Park Karen hopes to host community clean-ups to continue promoting clean and beautiful green spaces in Oshawa.

For a Better Future
Karen Albrecht for Oshawa City Councillor is proud to support and push for change throughout the community. Beginning with this change, Karen plans to reduce traffic wait times by adding roundabouts, where appropriate, to improve the flow of traffic in our city. Not only will this improve traffic flow, it will decrease greenhouse gas emissions and save electricity by installing less traffic lights.
