Karen Albrecht  Welcomes You

First time candidate, Karen Albrecht plans on bringing a young, vibrant voice to Oshawa. Recent graduate from Trent University, Durham Campus, she has lived in Oshawa her whole life and plans to give back to the community by listening to the citizens of Oshawa. Being involved in Fiesta Week, Karen has an understanding of the diverse community in Oshawa and hopes to expand upon our unique city.

Currently Karen is President of the Trent Durham Student Association, a non-profit organization, advocating for students on a small but mighty campus. Karen sits on the Steering Committee for the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance, representing 150,000 undergraduate students in Ontario. 

Karen began volunteering at the Oshawa Community Museum in 2012, being promoted to Visitor Host in 2014, connecting to more Oshawa citizens on a regular basis and teaching the history of Oshawa.
